As I shared on X, I plan to do more to show the positive side of AI to the world to offset all of the negative AI news from the mainstream media — more details to come soon.

Meta is actively acquiring AI training chips and expanding data centers to create a chatbot to compete with OpenAI's GPT-4. They plan to kick off the training of this new language model in early 2024, and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is pushing for it to be freely available for companies to use in developing AI tools.
Meta faces heavy competition in the generative AI space, with Apple reportedly dumping millions of dollars daily into its own “Ajax” AI model.
The Pentagon plans to deploy a comprehensive AI-driven network of drones and autonomous technologies within two years to address security threats from China and other rivals.
“Imagine distributed pods of self-propelled [autonomous] systems afloat, powered by the sun and other virtually limitless resources, packed with sensors aplenty, enough to give us new, reliable sources of information in near-real-time” — Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks
Authors that self-publish ebooks on Amazon are now required to disclose if content is AI-generated (but not if only AI-assisted). This announcement was made on Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) forum, and the company stated that authors will be asked about the AI origin of their content when publishing or editing a title.
