Lore Issue #51: DALL-E 3 Challenges Midjourney

Good morning.

It’s been another crazy week in AI. We’ve been playing around with DALL-E 3 from OpenAI and it’s pretty incredible. It doesn’t look as visually stunning right out of the box as Midjourney, but it’s significantly better at details and text.

For the first time this year, it looks like Midjourney could really be challenged. With Midjourney costing $30 per month, a lot of people paying for ChatGPT Plus will probably use DALL-E 3 instead.

If you have ChatGPT Plus you might already have access to DALL-E 3. But if not, you can access it with Bing Image Creator.

As we head to the end of 2023, I’m more excited than ever for what’s to come. I expect Google Gemini, the ChatGPT competitor, to be released soon. And for GPT-5 to be coming sooner than expected.

Exciting times ahead.
